Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Registered Company Auditor (RCA), Registered SMSF Auditor, Registered Tax Agent and member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Starting with the firm in 1990, he went from a Graduate Accountant to a management position in the audit team, where he built a specialist skillset, before becoming a partner in 2001.
Paul’s clients include both for profit and not-for-profit organisations across a variety of industries, including sugar milling; research and development; manufacturing; tourism and hospitality; education and training; mining services; disability; aged care; local government; and motor vehicle distributors.

Brenton holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting, starting with the firm in 2011 and appointed as a partner in 2018. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and trusted business advisor who focuses on providing exceptional service to private and family-owned businesses, high net worth individuals and not-for-profit organisations.
Some of Brenton’s most notable career highlights include being a Virtual CFO to support a not-for-profit organisation on financial performance and reporting, and being an adviser to a diagnostic imaging practice on its sale to a private equity group. Brenton has successfully facilitated several business acquisitions and sales in the professional services and health professional industries, including analysis of the tax implications and liaison with the solicitors and other parties involved – to create a successful outcome for all involved.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting major) and Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting, while being a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and was previously the Regional Chair for Chartered Accountants Queensland. Ryan started with the firm in July 2004 as a Cadet Accountant, becoming Tax Manager before being appointed as a partner in December 2016.
Ryan is one of our key partners who manages our Bowen office, and services a wide client base, including building and construction, professional services, medical services and primary production.
Geoff O’Connor

Geoff holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Public Practice Certificate, while being a Registered Tax Agent and member of Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). He is known for being active in the business community in his current role as President of Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce, and former committee positions on Young Professionals Mackay and CPA Mackay.
Geoff commenced with the firm in September 2000 towards the end of his university degree, as a soon-to-be graduate, progressed to being a Tax Manager and was appointed a partner in July 2012. As a key partner in managing our Mackay and Gold Coast offices, Geoff has extensive experience in assisting medical professionals and also specialises in commercial business, contracting clients, small business, retail and hospitality.

Chris started at the firm in 1991 as a Graduate Accountant, progressing to Team Manager and appointed as a partner in 1997. He is a Registered Tax Agent, Registered SMSF Auditor and Registered Company Auditor, and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Chris has extensive and diverse experience in taxation, accounting and audit matters for small, medium and large sized businesses and has a particular interest self-managed superannuation.
Clear business objectives and genuinely personalised service and empathy for the individual needs of clients have seen Chris produce beneficial outcomes for clients in a timely, cost-effective manner. His knowledge and experience allow him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients and business associates, and he has used his expertise to ensure financial growth for his clients. Chris’ goal is to continue to provide high quality and individualised services to meet the current and future needs of clients. He has specialist knowledge in self-managed superannuation funds and is responsible for the audit of over 600 self-managed superannuation funds, with over twenty years’ experience in SMSF administration.

Therese holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting. She started with the firm in January 1998 as an Undergraduate Accountant doing a cadetship, going on to become Tax Manager and then a partner in July 2012.
Therese is a key partner in managing our Bowen office, and specialises in small business, agriculture, primary production, building and construction. A highlight of her career, as well as becoming a partner, was returning to work successfully after having children, while her husband was a stay-at-home Dad. She has also enjoyed helping others in the firm with flexible working arrangements, to allow all members of the team to have the work-life balance that they choose to.
